Brian has invested in the Callaway fitting system - Why not get yourself along to Brora Shop for a try out?
It has always been golf club professional’s job to provide a higher level of personal tailoring services. Brian served his apprenticeship at Moray Golf Club with master club maker and professional James Neill Mackenzie. Even in Mackenzie’s early days, with hickory clubs, lofts lies and shaft flexes were constructed and adapted to suit the individual golfer needs. Many techniques were required to adjust persimmon head in woods and forged steel iron heads. The era which offered the toughest challenge in personalisation was the years of the cast iron heads and the metal woods which were very limited in what could be adjusted locally and in many cases had to be ordered with personal spec being built in at manufacture.
Today’s golfer can take advantage of years of research and development by the major club manufacturers by visiting the golf professional to combine new technology with the expertise of the modern highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who will conduct a fitting session which will ensure the golfer gets the best out of their investment in the latest equipment.
Nowadays, with changing attitudes toward loft, shaft flex and length the discerning player who takes the time to get fitted correctly can help them selves greatly to get the best out of their time on the golf course.
“I am very enthusiastic about the additional service and benefits which golfers can derive from the bespoke service” says Brian.
